One of the kindest, gentlest people I’ve ever met. RIP Sue.
My Friend

Love Betty
Whether camping with Freda and Roleen, learning from other teachers, facing serious issues, talking about cooking, or laughing, Sue enriched my life. Peaceful wishes to all who will miss her presence.
I am so grateful to have met you and enjoyed your delightful company, gracious hospitality, and appreciation of travel, food, art, humor, etc. You are much missed, and your memory is held in my heart. RIP
The world has lost a sweet, sweet person. Sue was a delight to be with, with a wonderful sense of humor. I loved being with her and John, at IPCO gatherings. Be it tail-gate parties at A's games to the many Christmas dinners at Casa Orinda. She was a sweetheart.
On to teaching classes in heaven!
Sue, Now in God's arms, but always in the hearts of your loved ones.
As your former letter carrier, I enjoyed our chats about music, art and hiking.
Gone to soon.

“Those who touch our lives stay in our hearts forever”. It was a great pleasure knowing Sue, will always remember her cheerful smile and her favorite red lipstick… smudge free as she would say:). I admired her positive attitude, her strength and endurance through out. A lovely person who will be deeply missed. May you rest in Peace.
Dear Friend, How lucky I was to meet you long ago and enjoy your friendship over the years. I will miss you so very much. Your kindness, brilliance, and sparkle is irreplaceable. Rest in peace.
It was a lucky thing Sue and I retired at the same time. We enjoyed her and John's three visits to Guatemala, sightseeing, eating, hanging out. I loved Sue's enthusiasm and I loved watching her record our adventures in her journal. Her strength and positive attitude were admirable. I will miss you, Sue, but I am glad to have all those memories of our times in Guatemala and in California.
Susan was gentle, witty and inspiring. I miss her friendship very much.
Almost 20 years of dinner parties gave us a big picture of the wonderful amazing person you were and how much everyone loved you. So fun, so full of life, the most superb hostess and so smart! Things will never be the same without you. You were one-of-a-kind. You are so missed!
My deepest condolences to you and your family. Susan was a beautiful and kind woman.
A warm, kind, and generous soul. Sue’s presence made the world a better place. She is missed.
Bless you, Great Soul! You brought much joy into many lives, and are still bringing joy with your memory. Until we meet again, cousin :-).
Sue, from that day 37 years ago that Karin and I moved into our house across the street, you and John have been good friends and neighbors. We miss you dearly but we take solace in the happy memories of our years of friendship. Rest In Peace.
Characteristics of an inspirational legacy beyond measure: An unwavering zest for life, boundless love for family and friends and a valiant spirit in the face of adversity. This was our dear, sweet Sue. I so miss you and our sharing.
My dear beautiful friend, you brought so much joy into many lives. I cherish the time we had together and will remember your grace, beauty and humility. I am so glad I was able to see you in June. You are forever in my heart.
Sue, Thank you so much for taking Guinevere & I on walks, from the moment we met you & John you became our favorite friends. I wish I had met you sooner & walked so many more miles. All of our Love from Jeff, Michelle & Guinevere
It was such a privilege to work with Sue for so many years. She was a very intelligent, caring, helpful, and kind person. I will always remember her quiet elegance. Although I have not seen her since retirement, I did hear of her illness and her adventures with mutual friends. I admired the way she lived life to the fullest as long as she was able. My condolences to her family.
You were deeply kind, intelligent, curious, and witty — in other words, all the good things. You will be missed by many.
From my last email exchange with Sue: Sarlat was wonderful...so was Sea Ranch, Shelter Cove was mostly wonderful (so windy one day...)...we saw great art and good movies together...met different people, thought about many different things, ate some great meals (especially at your house) . Thank you for all those things, and more....
I will miss her smile. She was a wonderful, gracious woman who always was warm and attentive. I enjoyed the art parties and spending time with her in the kitchen. I am grateful I have had the opportunity to know Sue. This beautiful person is at peace.

Book club, cooking club, film studies, gardening projects. Talk. My friendship of over 50 years with Sue was one of the great joys of my life; her passing one of the great sadnesses.

Sue was the kindest, hardest working, most dedicated member of our Deer Valley staff. She was the fearless leader of the English Department since the day we opened and spent every day working for the students, teachers and families of our school community. She will forever be a part of our school and our lives. We love and miss you, Ms. Tullis.
Sue, you are eternal energy that bound family and friends, bringing memories and smiles to our hearts and faces. Rest peacefully on this journey dear one.
My dearest friend Sue, though we havn't met physically, I know you deeply through our emails and our prayers.
