Memorial website for William Prehn, beloved husband, father, grandpa and friend.
You couldn't ask for a better man or a better cousin. Memories are sweet. He finished his course with honor. Our sympathies to Judy the children and grandchildren.
My dearest brother-in-law has always watched over me from a very young age and had continued with my children and grandchildren. Each of us hold such wonderful memories of this gentle loving man.
Bill was a wonderful caring brother. I have so many special, joyful memories of all our family get togethers, fixer upper projects, sewing and quilting sessions, car trips, and ice cream parties. He was always offering his help and I will be thinking of him and his family often with great affection.
Grandpa Bill was an amazing man. He was a collector. I remember going to the Arizona house and being amazed at his collection of flashlights scorpions and rc cars. I remember going to the park or going to Denny's and having long chats about scientific stuff. I love him and will miss him so much.
Bill was more than a brother-in-law to me. He was a mentor throughout his life. Always giving of himself to everyone around him. Ready to share knowledge and wisdom. His calming and patient nature remembered by my family with all the great memories we'll hold in our hearts always.
Grampa Bill takes on lasting memories. From growing up learning and listening to his story's, he helped create a new world of fun and enjoyment. He focused on being the giver in life and really showed how we can come together to help each other. I am very glad that I got to be his grandson and I will have lasting memories of him inside, never forgetting all the fun and enjoyment from him.
What can you say about a man who would give you the shirt off his back because he thought you might be cold? Bill was a caring Father-in-law and an amazing Grandpa with an unbelievable amount of patience. He was always happily teaching lessons along the way and/or helping out with someone’s unfinished project. Whenever I hear anyone whistling while they work, I will fondly think of Bill.
Bill was the kind of man I can only wish to be like. He was patient, loving, kind and always generous of his time, especially helping others. We have been fortunate to have known you and share some fun times together. Thank you Judy for sharing your special husband with us.
