I enjoyed working for Bill at LSI Logic in the early 1990s.  He truly was a lover of humor and he kept us all laughing even on not-so-fun work days.  My deepest sympathy to his family.  RIP Bill.

Bill was a great friend sharing his love of jazz, family, and life with my wife and me. A wise man who respected honesty, hard work and personal success, he had admirable values and was able to articulate these in a clear way. A man with a fine sense of humour he always seemed to be fully engaged with his world especially in his love and pride for his wife and family.  I am a better person for having known Bill Gallagher and we send our sympathy to Sandy, Matt, Kerry and the grandchildren in their loss.
