Mrs. Doherty & family,
I am so sorry for your loss! I met Mr. Doherty at South in 1974 - I had semantics with him - he asked me to explain how to draw a square - he would follow my instructions. I must have spent almost the entire period trying to get him to draw a square. I was so frustrated and angry at him but I must say he was the best teacher ever!!
Mr Doherty was my favorite teacher! He had a way of making you think outside the box. Just an amazing guy!
Mrs. Doherty, I am so sorry for your loss. I was fortunate enough to have had both you and Mr. Doherty at South High. My favorite teachers! Thinking of all family and friends of Mr. Doherty.
Prayers and sympathy for the entire family. I am grateful for being one of Mr. Doherty's students at Weymouth high school he was such a leader and mentor and was always there to help you through anything. He was someone you could count on to listen and to support you even if you were just simply another student. Rest in Peace????
Mrs. Doherty, I’m so sorry for your loss. I was one of the unbelievably lucky ones to have had both of you teach me semantics. You two were the most beautiful prom king and queen I’ve ever seen. I was even more lucky to get to see Mr. Doherty a few years after graduating when he would come into the laundromat I worked at for buckets for his lobsters. For years I looked forward to lobster season
Dottie, Sorry for your loss. I loved seeing his boating pictures on Facebook, but did not know of your triumphs as Weymouth teachers. I did, however, meet someone here in Hingham at Linden Ponds where we live that raved about the best teacher they ever had. That twinkle in his eye translated into his looking into the sould of those he was with. May his memory live on. David Nelson
I am so sorry for your loss Mrs. D. , It's Chris Olson, I was at South High from 73/74 to 75/76. I was lucky enough to have both of you for several classes. You both inspired me for life. He will be very missed. I wish you peace and healing.
Dear Mrs Doherty and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. My condolences. I so enjoyed having Mr Doherty as a teacher. He gave lessons in life first, semantiks second. 40 years later I still share with others many of the life lessons he taught me.
Dear mrs Doherty,
