Dear Tom although we never met in person, I want to sincerely thank you for mentoring me via email and voice as I took over your director position with Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital when you retired. Your "Words of wisdom and lessons learned," will be forever remembered by me.
My sincerest condolences to Tom's family. Tom was an amazing man and an outstanding leader. I feel honored to have worked with Tom and have had the privilege to get to know Tom on a personal level where we shared stories of our athletic days. Tom you will be missed; you will forever be True Gold!!

Tom had to have had a special kind of dedication to compete at the Olympics, and it seems to me that he exercised that same level of dedication at Hazel Hawkins Hospital and to the people that depended on him there. It was a pleasure to work with him.
