I didn't know that my mentor, Ted Gehrke, had passed? Ted was a big influence in my life. He gave a skinny, black girl with a 2-year-old daughter an opportunity to present forums and concerts for the student body at SJSU. Because of Ted, I helped produce his Fountain Blues Festival featuring the greatest such as Bo Diddley and John Lee Hooker. And, I have put on my own events. RIP Ted.
