Our family is shocked and so very sad to readof Teresa's passing. She helped us through many difficulties and we considered her to be family. She has left a piece of her heart in many children and families.
Teresa is one of my heroes and was a dear friend. Kathy Quill, Teresa and I had dinner together every few months for many years. We talked shop often as in 'if we ruled the world how we would make it better for kids with ASD and their families', then talk running, aging, politics, family, etc, and I left with a warm feeling of fellowship, women warriors together. I miss her terribly.
Teresa was an amazing woman who touched the lives of so many, myself included. She was my friend, mentor, student and I am very lucky to have had her in my life. Teresa has touched so many folks and helped many families to live full lives among challenges. I was very lucky to have her "in my corner" as I built my business- she and Stephen have been loyal amazing friends and I miss her
A parent asked me for a suggestion for her friend who is struggling with her son's recent Aspergers diagnosis. I googled Teresa who is always my "go to" person for ASD issues to obtain her contact info. I was so shocked and saddened to read of her death! Teresa had a contagious empathy for all children. She gave so much to so many. Her loss is an incredible tragedy. My deepest condolences.
