To my dear cousins, Russell, Larry, David, Arlene and Syrene and also to your partners and children.
What can I say to you all at this sad time apart from sorry. Such a small word in the grand scheme of things but I say it with true love when I remember dearest Auntie Sylvia.
I have such lovely memories of her visits to us over the years. Remembering her sat with my dad, reminiscing about “the old days”, I can picture them now. My dads silly jokes and stories, to make Auntie Sylvia laugh out loud and slap her legs as she always did.
I can picture them laughing and hugging and imagine they have now found each other for a chat and a cuppa
As I’m sure you will all know, her main topic of conversation was of you all, her family, who she cherished and was so proud of.
Sending you all my love and please know that I will continue to think of Auntie Sylvia often and remember her with a smile
Stay strong

Dear Russell, Arlene, Larry, David and Syrene , I am so sorry to hear of the death of Sylvia, but also so happy to hear she lived such a long and lovely life with you all. My memories are from the early 80s, but I was always welcomed into your home most graciously and she always made me feel welcome. Parting is such sweet sorrow, but you were all blessed to have her Peace to you all
I was very sorry to learn of Sylvia's recent passing. Although I hadn't seen her since I was a little girl, I have fond memories of her and was always in awe of her beauty as shown in old family photos. I know my Uncle Reed cherished the relationship they had throughout his life. Hopefully, they are reconnecting on another plane now. Sending my deepest condolences to the family.
I have such fond memories of Aunty Sylvia, from a child when she used to visit us and always bought a gift for us all, she had obviously spent a lot of time on this! I am so pleased that we managed to visit her in Boston a few years back, such a lovely time and she made us so at home, thinking of all my cousins at this sad time, God bless Sylvia - all my love xxx
Auntie Sylvia,
Its never easy to lose someone, but especially difficult when they are someone special. Auntie Sylvia was one of those people. Always so much fun to be around and always so thoughtful and Happy.
I am so pleased that Arachorn and I got to spend a few great fun filled days with her just a couple of years ago. We both really enjoyed spending time with Sylvia. It also reminded me of visiting all those years ago and sitting watching Jeopardy with her and trying to put her off answering the questions by making her laugh at stuff. All of us over this side of the pond always love to make Sylvia laugh as she would slap her thighs and roar with laughter.
The funniest thing that springs to mind is when I accompanied her to Paris for a short city visit about 35+ years ago. It was great fun, as usual, but not sure we enjoyed being asked to leave ‘The Louvre’, after an incident with the ‘Mona Lisa’. Sylvia asked me to take a picture of her in front of the masterpiece, and I said “is the flash off’, as I didn’t know how to work her camera. “Oh yes its fine” she said. So I took the picture and FLASH!! The security guards were not impressed to say the least, and asked us to leave! We wandered off with our tails between our legs, but luckily, we were not escorted out, so we just went to see different things. A couple of hours later and we are on a boat tour down the Seine, and another not very friendly Frenchman, started telling her off for something, so I leapt to her defense, and gave him an earful…. In English which I am sure he didn’t understand. This meant more laughter and slapping of thighs.
So its with great sadness that we have to say goodbye to our beloved Aunt, but we are at least left with many great memories of a wonderful lady.
Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to Russel, Arlene, Larry, David and Syrene and to all Sylvias Grand children, Great Grand children, extended family and friends.
All our Love Frankie and Arachorn xxx
