I am so sorry to read this sad news. Steve was a mentor to me when I was a new attorney. His generosity and kindness was so important to me, and he taught me that respect to one’s clients, opponents and all involved in the law was the most important characteristic one could have. My sincere and deepest sympathies for your loss. His memory is a blessing. Mary Jo Harris

I am so sorry to hear this sad news. While Steve and I were adversaries in the courtroom going back to the late 1970s, we remained friends outside of the courtroom. I remember when he and I both lived in the South End and we would see and talk with each other occasionally on the street I know that his family was the world to him. Please have my deepest condolences on your loss.
I just heard about Steve's death through an email from another college frat brother. Steve and I were pledge brothers and spent the remainder of college as bothers. He was always a kind but spirited fellow, and we enjoyed many great times together. Though I haven't seen him in years, I mourn his untimely passing.
