So sad to hear of Shawns passing. I remember Shawn as being the youngest of 3 brothers , Rick and Mike the oldest. In my youth we spent our years daily around Mckelvey ballpark in Mountain View, ca. The Barton boys lived down the right field line. All 3 good ballplayer .You couldnt go there without seeing one or all 3 there. My condolences to the whole Barton family. RIP Shawn God Bless.
My dad was the greatest man I'll ever know. Growing up, I would knock on his door hoping that he was play sports with me. Sure enough he would open the door and say, "be ready in 5 minutes." We loved to play frisbee, pool, tennis, basketball, baseball and even ping pong. He is gone way too soon. He fought so hard. I Miss you dad, every day. Thanks for being the greatest dad, I love you.
My uncle Shawn was an amazing man. He made you feel welcome and at home whenever you were with him. He cared about everybody, even strangers, and was unfailingly kind. He had a great, goofy, sense of humor and made the best cookies. He loved his family, and was loved in return. I'll miss him so much.
There’re no words to explain what this earth has lost. And not many understand that because my dad was a reserved man. It’s a shame that not many got to see how beautiful his soul was. But being his daughter I had this privilege. He was my hero, my best friend, my whole heart and my absolute biggest fan. I don’t know how Ill do it without him but I will chase my dreams just like he did.
My Name is Al Heath and I was a friend and team mate of one of the best shortstops I have ever played with or SEEN!
He made unbelievable plays that everyone would ever remember if they could.. His ability to anticipate and read the play was Big League.. I saw it time and time again throughout the early 80's ..
