So very sorry to hear about Sharons passing.  Always so beautiful and gracious. Our thoughts go out to family during this difficult time.

From her classmates in the Acalanes High School Class of 1958. We will miss Sharon, she was a long-time member of her class' reunion committee, and a lovely woman

Although I only spent limited time with Sharon over the years, I valued those encounters. She was a joy to be around, to have a meal with, and, yes, even to attend a wedding party with (Michelle and Bart!). I know what a void she leaves behind.

I still have very fond memories of Family functions, the annual Christmas or Thanksgiving get together or what have you, and they always included the breaking of bread around the respective dinner tables, one for the adults, and one for the kids.  Whereas being relegated to the smaller kids table seemed to be a bit demeaning, it was somewhat less formal and therefore, for lack of a better word, palatable.  Besides, the grown-ups didn’t really fit in with us certified representatives of the younger and cooler generation.  They were archaic, we were happening.
Of course, there was one exception.  My Aunt Sharon.  She was cool, funny, and seemingly more attuned to the cool kid perspective that resonated with us youngsters.  She was, on some levels, one of us.  I always loved that about her, and I still do.
The fact that she was only 17 years older than me made her more relatable and accessible to me.  Plus, given that we were the only members of the highly desirable Left-Handed Gemini Club in our Family, well, it just made the bond even tighter.
I will miss her for the rest of my days, and will hold a special place in my heart for her.  And she will always be welcome at any table I’m sitting at.
