I remember how you taught me to be respectful of veterans: how many of them come home to a society who often does not quite understand what these men and women have gone through for their country. I learned by example- thank you for always thanking them poppa, and thank you for your service as well.

Words cannot express how you are missed. Life is very different without you here. I will forever remember your 'yea yea' and snorting laugh. 'Hey....' Hey Dad, Happy Birthday (Heavenly) I bet you’re celebrating with the king, and for the stories he must have. How I wish you could share them somehow. I miss your wisdom the way you processed current situation. I wish I could pick your brain. I think about you every day, we have goats on our property and I have appropriately named them all Roy. I’d like to think that you know that.
