I miss talking to Rory everyday and hearing his voice.  I miss him talking to Svavah and Izzy and getting excited about what they were doing and excited about.  Rory always seemed so interested in what was happening in our lives and in Anchorage.   I love and miss you so much Rory    Mom

The great times spent with Rory will be forever remembered and treasured. Rory possessed a sense of humor that could make anyone laugh and always made you feel at ease when in his presence. Gone too soon...you will truly be missed my friend.

Rory’s passing has left a deep hole in my heart. Memories of him and Liam fishing with me in Saskatchewan, BC and Alaska. The hockey and soccer games. The three of us hunting geese and grouse, out for dinner or laughing till tears are all made now. We will no longer hear his jokes his stories or his laugh. We will reminisce of our time with him, his fierce love for his daughters and for life. His humor and generosity. He will forever be a much loved son and brother.
Rest In Peace.

I'm going through so many old pictures of Rory and his early years with so many fun activities and good times.  So hard to think of him not being with us.  I miss so much about him especially his sweet smile and concern for me and all his family.  He sure loved the fishing in Alaska and I have so many great memories and pictures of his wonderful fishing trips.  Miss you so much Rory.  Mom

Rory,

It hurts for me to think why you had to leave so early.  I never questioned the infinite amount of desire you had to enjoy life; it was nice to be around a person with such an optimistic attitude on things.  You will be dearly missed my friend, rest well, until we met again.-Kev

Rory, I'm missing you so much.  Why did you have to leave us so soon?  You had another lifetime of living to live, so many good times left undone, so much fun with Svavah and Naomi, so many fish to catch, so many great visits with Svavah and Mom.  You had just found a new love with Ashley and were so happy.  It's not fair.  I wish you had had more time.  I loved you so much!!  Mom

Brother I am truly heartbroken with your passing.  I will always cherish the memories made with our wonderful loving family and friends.  So many of the good memories are distant - when we both had our youth and our health.  Fishing trips, skiing, playing hockey on the ice and on the street, golfing, mountain biking, soccer, vacations and going to concerts.  miss you bro  love Liam

With you returning to Canada those memories are fewer and far between but the memories made in the greater Vancouver area are some great ones too.  Now watching the Stanley Cup playoffs without your comments and insight on the games - it's just not the same.  I hate that I missed your call the night of my birthday.  I wish you could have met my dog.  Life isn't the same.  RIP brother  Liam

Candle lit  by Valerie Elsdon on September 4th, 2020

Rory, Vancouver is still in the hockey playoffs and I know you would have enjoyed watching them play and cheering them on.  Liam is watching but wishing you were here to talk about the games with him.  So many things I see every day make me think of you Rory and remind me how much I am missing you.  I saw someone walking with a backpack and thought it looked like you.  Love always  Mom
