I was deeply saddened to learn of Bob’s passing earlier this year. Bob was so dear to me and, like his beloved Judy, such a profound source of wisdom in the form of powerful questions and reflections on my life’s journey all of which have had a profound impact on me. I will miss Bob’s twinkle and his thoughtful, curious mind. I treasure and will miss our quarterly sleepovers in their beautiful, Hillsborough home. Bob and Judy were my gold standards for enduring love and true partnership. After 63 years walking through life holding hands—holding it all together—I cannot imagine the depth of the loss Judy must be feeling. I know that Bob’s memory will be a blessing to all who were fortunate enough to know and love him. I know it is to me.

Bob Waterman was a giant.  I knew him from our joint service on the board of the Restless Legs Sysndrome Foundation.  Without his leadership, the organization would not be here today.  His strategic vision continues to guide the RLS research community today. Thank you, Bob and Judy, for all that you did for everyone who suffers from RLS!
