I knew Bob when he commanded USS John F. Kennedy (CV-67) on that long Mediterranean deployment in 1972.  Good shipmate and good Quiet Birdman fellow. CVV Hangar.

I first met him and Linda at the Brezzy Point O Club a few weeks before he assumed command of the JFK,
I served as his V4 Aviation Fuels Officer during his Command Of the JFK, he was good leader of men and
it was a pleasure to serve under him.
