I was blessed to train with Dr. Scott as one of his pediatric neurosurgery fellows from 1999 to 2000. What an incredible honor it was! He was an outstanding teacher, role, model, mentor, and friend. I have tried to emulate his example every day of my Pediatric Neurosurgery career.  Words cannot express the gratitude that I have for this man!   Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Dr. Scott.  You will be missed! May you rest in peace!  I will never forget you!

Dr. Scott gave us hope when we needed it most. It is because of him, our son who many wrote off, is now healthy, happy and pursuing his PhD. May this great man and healer rest in peace.

Dr. Scott saved my life when I was just 6 years old. He was the only doctor I met who would really listen to me and help me. I suffered with a brain AVM and Dr. Scott performed a life saving operation on me, and I will be forever grateful for his kindness. He will be greatly missed by so many. He truly has made a difference in this world.

I am truly devastated to hear of Dr. Scott's passing. But absolutely touched by all the kind words of those who knew him. From a patient's point of view, there will never be a more compassionate, caring, and calming provider...ever. I can remember Dr. Scott as a petrified 9 year old, who had no idea how sick she was...being soft-spoken, and kind, saving my life, not once, but twice.

Susan, I just learned of Mike's passing. I'm so sorry. Although we mostly spoke when we crossed paths on our way into or out of the house, we spoke often enough for me to know that he was a truly lovely, gentle, man. When I was ten years old I had surgery to remove a grapefruit sized tumor in the early 1990s performed by Dr Micheal Scott.   He saved my life and im now 43 years old not one issue since. Forever grateful.
