A loving loyal father, husband
and friend, Michael passed
away peacefully on a
windy Sunday.
Fitting for a sailor
to depart on the wind.
We will miss his smiling
blue eyes and the sound
of his laughter.

I was blessed to have 2 father figures in my life, my own dad and then Mikey for my adult life. He brought wisdom, love, and laughter into my life. I will always remember his smile and goofy laugh. I love you Mikey and I will miss you.
Hey Mike, I miss you already buddy, as your showing up out of the dark and spending time with Juno and Me. I wanted to go Golfing with you again. WE go back a very long time from when Mike was 18, and I was 21. Starting with Fraternity Bros. at City College. This extended into a long history of living together, as well as his being my "Best Man", at my Marriage to Angie.
This continued into a lifelong friendship, which I cherished dearly. WE had so many stories of our escapades, over the years, I will wait for the event on the 22nd to share some. Although we failed to get together enough, I will miss you all the unexpected visits we enjoyed together, as our friendship never failed to stay active and cherished.
Mike was a very special person. His kindness and generosity touched our family in so many ways that have produced very lasting memories for us all. Cloud Nine is sailing somewhere on divine waters,

Mike was a great guy, always made me laugh or I made him laugh, it was a give and take. I didn't know his wife, met him after her passing but my late husband, Bill, and I became good friends when Mike met Cecilia (Cece). We had great fun together, especially our trip to Costa Rica as well as many other outings. I will miss him so much! Mike and his family are in my prayers.

We want to send our condolences to Mike's family. We have been friends for many years. He will be truly missed. Great friend and poker player.

Sian & Emma,
This news was a sad surprise and I’m so sorry for you both. The Gowans were our next door neighbors (we were the house on the corner) and we remained close friends with your grandparents until they died. It’s great you posted the picture of your folks; I’ll have it forever as a reminder of the handsome friendly guy I had a crush on for years.
Warm Regards,
Maggie Ortelle
Dearest Mike, you will be missed... Your insatiable love of life ... and that twinkle in your eyes...How we used to laugh...! So many great memories... the dinners... the trips... the deep conversations... the voice of optimism you brought to the table... Thank you for that beautiful smile that will remain in our hearts forever... You will be missed... (big heart) The Fremy’s
