I had Mrs Dowse at Medfield HS back in the 1970s.  She was an amazing teacher and inspired me to become a teacher as well.  I, however, became a physics teacher.  I will never forget her pouring distilled water from a large jug swung over her shoulder!  Love you, Mrs Dowse!  Brian Finn, Medfield HS Class of 1973

Mrs. Dowse taught me chemistry at MHS, and I looked forward to her class like no other.  What a superb teacher, and what a superb person.  She had a profound impact on my life, and I have thought of her and her impish smile very often through the years.  My condolences to all her family.  Rest in peace old friend, and thank you for being there.  Rich Knowles MHS 1974

I met Betty through my Loon Lake friends, Dolly and Ainsley. She was a very active participant in our local book cIub. I had the opportunity to share a number of great meals and conversations with her over the years. Betty was a force of nature who lived every day to the max. She was independent, strong, intellectually curious and engaged right up until her passing. I will miss her.
