Maria’s house was where all us kids hung out, as we were always welcome. We were treated like family, which might mean we were assigned some chores before play. I was lucky to be a server at her parties, gaining the treasured peek into the adult world unnoticed. Her parties were always a blast, often with costumes or themes. Saw the Mayor in a toga lost before Animal House. Miss her…
We were so fortunate to meet Maria and Robert on a trip to the Dalmation Coast and Greece in 2018. We had the best time and just enjoyed their company so much and we laughed a lot! They made this trip one of the most enjoyable trips that we have taken and we have travelled to over sixty nine countries. Maria was so fashionable, fun and kind. She will be missed.
Martin and I are so grateful that both our children, Kate and John, were lucky enough to have Maria for their English teacher at Redwood High. What an inspiration!
