I remember Marge as wonderfully bright and witty, and a delight to be around. She and my aunt Eleanor had a wonderful relationship, and I always looked forward to seeing them both when were back in California. When Pete Seeger was in Berkeley, he always stayed with Marge, and once, Marge, knowing my brother and I loved folk music, very thoughtfully invited us to have breakfast with him.
I absolutely adored Marge Franz--unique, bright, funny, articulate, clear, strong willed, and not afraid to speak her truth. In so many fields, she was a pioneer and role model for women. I could listen to her for hours and hours and never be bored. She leaves a strong impression that lasts a lifetime. RIP Marge.
