You were so generous of heart, constant of faith, and you are remembered with love. You were the lifeline for me and my family and we are so thankful to have been a huge part of your life, especially as a family these last few years. Missing you with all my heart. Mary
My memories of Auntie Marietta always make me smile. She was the kindest woman I've known. She loved unconditionally, and always made me feel welcome and safe. I'll never forget at Uncle Denny's funeral procession in Santa Cruz; she grabbed my hand and said "Isn't it beautiful, honey?" I thought, 'what an amazing woman'. She will be missed.
Marietta and I were best friends/coworkers at Santa Cruz High. We sometimes worked the ticket booth at the football games together and Denny would meet us afterwards on his motorcycle to see us safely home. We spent time together and traveled together, attended Mass together. She was a true-blue, geneous friend, and I miss her!
I am saddened learning of your passing my dear Mrs Finnegan. During my rookie years at SCPD that's how you were known. The Finnegan home became a meeting place for COPs and their families. You then became Marietta a wonderful hostess, kind, gentle and loving. You and Denny seemed perfect. Rest in peace dear lady. My condolences to your family
