I lived below Ligia in Somerville for 4 years and frequently visited her, played with Alex and Maddie, and sat outside on the stoop talking with George. Ligia was an incredible, strong, and hilarious woman. Even after moving out I kept in touch and visited her occasionally. She always made me laugh and she was great company. She will be missed and my thoughts are with Alex and Maddie.
