Lane Zakrey Hansen, our loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend passed away at the age of 18 on Saturday, June 8, 2019 in Chesterfield, Va. He was born March 21, 2001.
Lane was an avid Soccer player for club and Cosby High School winning the Virginia State Championship in 2018. He enjoyed his free time exploring the wonders of nature with his family including sports, fishing, hunting, four wheeling, surfing, skateboarding, and traveling. He enjoyed his free time exploring mechanics, trucks, hanging out with friends and spending time with his family. Lane found joy in his life serving others through his church.
Lane is survived by his parents Jennifer Scherb Hunt, Michael Hunt, and Zakrey Hansen; brother and best friend Mason Hansen; grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, and many others that loved him dearly.
You will remember him forever, as you said. Loss of a child is a dreadful tragedy. My heart hurts for you.

Lane was a friend of mine during high school. We weren't close, but we had some laughs in a few of our classes and got along really well:) He was on my mind recently and I looked him up to see if I could find some reason for the tragedy that happened. I found this page and thought I'd leave a message for him. Lane, you were a great joy and spirit in our classes. God bless and rest in peace
