I want to say thank you for your mentoring at Harbor High. It has always be a good memory for me working together to improve the lives of students. May your family find peace in knowing that you have left a everlasting image on all you have helped. You will be missed, but you will live on in our community.

There are people with a drive to give to others and truly make a difference, to make their communities stronger, better places. Ken was one of those people. His volunteer work with NAMI was amazing, from coaching young people with mental health challenges, helping with mental health education in schools and so much more. He made NAMI stronger and we will miss him more than words can relay.

A true giant among us... great friend, outstanding track coach and life mentor. Coach Ken was our kind, humble, and courageous leader who never hesitated to get involved and make the our lives and the world a better place.

Ken has thousands of former students who were impacted by his leadership.   His leadership included compassion, inclusion, community, brilliance, humor, dedication and much, much more.  We will feel his presence at the next Wharf-to-Wharf.  I am personally grateful for his many gifts.    We are a better place thanks to Ken.
