When I think of Kathleen and the way that I remember her and the way that I would capture her essence, the first thing that comes to mind is her quiet and gentle spirit.
She was not necessarily a quiet person but there was a certain calm about her.  She was ever pleasant, always kind, and soft spoken with a loving sense of humor, sincere in her concerns for others and always welcoming you into her presence.
Kathleen was a very precious individual with a noticeable sense of decency and a childlike, innocent quality about her that was endearing to those whom she encountered.
There are two of Gods’ creations that I know she really loved; She loved all animals especially dogs but most of all Kathleen loved her granddaughter Emma, and she was a good grandmother to her especially in the way that she took care of her every day and wanted the very best for her to grow up to be a happy young woman and to live a virtuous life.
Kathleen passed on to Emma her love for Jesus and the practice of the Catholic faith to be her guide and her strength throughout the rest of her life.
Kathleen’s faith was an integral part of her life and I believe that the good qualities that she possessed were an expression of her true love for God.  A love that was somehow palpable and with that little smile on her face, even on those days when her eyes were sad, that love made her very attractive, approachable and comfortable to be with.
Kathleen served God and the Church in a quiet and gentle manner which made her so noticeable, and now for this reason she shall be forever memorable.
