My dearest Juli, "bestest friend dude", I miss you so much!! For 30 years you walked next to me, in every aspect of my life, from relationships, introducing me to my husband, my wedding, the births of my children... you were always with me through the important stuff and not so important stuff. We were each other's cheerleaders and shoulders to lean on. If we weren't in touch daily, we were at least in touch weekly, spending hours together, or on the phone, and later sending marathon text messages to each other. We'd spend countless hours laughing and joking and talking about old times and new, our favorite summers together, cruising El Camino and the people we'd met. You brought me through some rough times too, coaching me along the way. I have memories with you that only you and I shared, laughs and jokes that only we would understand, and we shared tears that only we know about. A piece of me went with you when you left here for the next part of your journey. You will always be with me. Always. You taught me so much and I can truly say my life wouldn't be what it is without having had you in it. You were my saving grace when at 16 years old I really needed a friend. And there you were! I know we often said God knew what he was doing when he put us together, and it's so true! I love you my bestest friend dude. Run through those meadows, and continue to shine your beautiful light upon us. There is only "one Juli", as you'd jokingly say. But you were so right. There will never be another you.
Your bestest friend,
Marleen
