I'm so very saddened to hear of Joe's passing. I was privileged to ride with him on a couple of occasions and enjoyed those rides and his company. My deepest sympathies to his family.

I am so sorry to learn of Joe's death. For years he was my best friend, and we were best Man at each other's weddings. I will always remember his wit, intelligence, love of language, and zest for life. He is the only person I can imagine learning Irish in order to read Finnegan's Wake.
