Joe was a light to the paths of many! He certainly was an example and guide to me in my Carmelite vocation. Joe, Bernadette Contreras, and I went through Aspirancy and Formation together, having joined the Carmelite Seculars in 2001. He was a big part of my journey and I will miss him. His last months were the most beautiful fruits of his Carmelite life. He rests in the Loving Heart of God
