Siempre sera "Nena". I was 12 years old when I first heard Nena on the backside of the 45 of Suavecito, and I will be Nena forever. Go in peace, dear Jorge, and I will always hold you in my heart. See you soon, brother-in-music!

When we were kids, we played soccer together and our families always spent time on the weekends, Christmas holidays, and birthdays.   When we were grown we became close again and I visited him often from Florida.  My wife and I will miss him and our visits.  He was a kind, generous, and considerate person.  He will never be forgotten  May he rest in peace. Love Mario and Deanna Galindo

I just stumbled upon this memorial of Jorge Santana, and was shocked. I had no idea that he had passed. My condolences to the familia. From that awesome first album from 72 (“Just Say Goodbye” is one of my favorites, and the live version of “Pana” from the Last Days of the Fillmore when the late Bill Graham introduced MALO. To his time with Fania All Stars singing “Hey Santana! on El RATON
