I wish I had met John, but I never had that pleasure.
I did, however, get to know him through his wife, Jean, and the stories that she shared about their meeting, their teaching together in Dubai, and their bi-country lives. I know that he brought out the sparkle in Jean's eyes and the broad, joyful smile to her face.  I am overjoyed that they found each other.
