Heard this sad news today. Tomorrow July 31, 2018 I'll celebrate 37 years sober. There is no way that this would have happened if I had never met Jack D. NEVER! Words can not describe my heart felt thankfulness for Jack D. being my friend. RIP my friend.

Jack was truly a person who "walked the walk" and did not just "talk the talk". As many have said, one of his most famous sayings was "I'd rather see a sermon, than hear a sermon". He was a fiercely loyal friend, fellow Irishman, storyteller and loved to sing an Irish song! His heart was generous and giving. "Come over here", he'd greet you with; and say "I'm better for having seen you"!
