A letter to my childhood mentor,
Thank you for being such a great role model and mentor. You taught so much more than karate to so many generations. You showed how patience, empathy, focus and dedication can help you succeed in the most difficult of times. Nearly 30 years later I still refer to your teachings and have started to pass them down to my children.
For 10+ years I was blessed with the opportunity to run around your Milpitas and Cupertino dojo for hours on end and spend many hours with you. Thank you for being someone I could emulate as I transitioned from childhood to adulthood.
You will be missed and thought about often.
Sincerely,
Marc Angelinovich
Kyoshi; We think about you always, we talk about you still. You have never been forgotten, and you never ever will. We hold you close within our hearts, and there you will remain. To walk and guide us through our lives, until we meet again.Thank you for all you gave without ever asking anything in return; You made a wonderful difference.
My sincere condolences Dianne, Danny, little Dianne, Alden. Hanshi holds a special place in my brother Steve’s heart and mine. I will forever remember you, seeing you practice arrow catching at the dojo, showing us you could jump on the highest stack of mats in one leap when we tried & failed. Thank you for teaching us your wisdom. Rest In Peace Dear Hanshi, I love you, until we meet again
Jim and Diane were very important mentors in Marc’s life during a difficult time in our lives. They helped mold him into a kind contributing citizen, father and husband. We are especially greatful to Jim and Chuck for their roles. He impacted so many lives. Mike and Hedi Angelinovich
Jim Mather was a wonderful teacher and friend. I could never repay the debit I owe to Jim and Diane. I miss them in my life and think about them both often. Jim's teaching continues to motivate and improve me every moment of every day. No matter what I am doing I still achieve sucess because of his mentoring.
Getting to know Jim was an honor and a privilege. He treated his students with the utmost respect as he taught them so much more than martial arts. His life lessons included discipline, responsibility, and perseverance. The light of his life shines brightly in my memory. My sincerest condolences to his family.
