My condolences to the Murphy family. No doubt this is a tough time for your family. Thankfully God lovingly provides us with his word the Bible which offers us this comfort. (Revelation 21:4) So very soon God will bring about a time where not only our loved ones will return, but they will return to a world where they wont be plagued by sickness or stalked by death.
