The world lost a true friend and mentor to all. From complicated computer chip technology to how to be a decent human being, Jim was a generous guide to be followed, and he would make you laugh along the way.

I met Jim in May 2009 at his office in Campbell for the first time. We were starting a business and wanted to get his advice.  Jim was indeed a kind and caring person. He was straightforward and honest with his advice. Jim became our Mentor and we worked with him closely on some business opportunities.
We will miss you Jim !

Jim was a friend, mentor, and musician. He was always there to support you and cared greatly for others. I am sad he has gone, but happy for the wonderful life he led. I remember his love of music and playing tunes from the Allman Brothers. You will be missed but will always be remembered!

I met Jim in 1965 when we were both  freshmen at Overfelt High School. I thought of him as a big, friendly, smiley guy who occasionally let me follow him home after school to hang out with his family. There was always lots of activity at his home and I was always welcomed by his gracious mom and younger siblings. Jim was very kind to me during my troubled teenage years. I will miss him.
