I will miss his intellect, his concern for the environment (first person I ever heard mention the potential hazards from microwave tower emissions back in the 70's!), his never allowing you to get by with a casual platitude to important issues, his strong political convictions, his art, his writing, his stories, his physical presence, I love you Harris!
I regret not having the privilege of meeting Harris directly, though through knowing Becky, I have been given the opportunity to learn more, and to appreciate deeply his clearly very special life.
I first got to know Harris in 1969 at Mass Art. Harris was a dynamic character, who made me think about a number of things under the heading of "life" in a different way. A fond memory: Harris and Ros's front door was always open. I enjoyed so much visiting them unannounced, and getting a warm welcome to come in and have a cup of tea
