Momma loved everyone she met. She only needed me to be a son-in-law, but she was so much more to me. I am very lucky to have been able to call two women Momma.

Genette was sweet, kind, funny, beautiful and a fierce mother and fighter for human rights.
Genette was like a sister to me and Its going to take me a while to get used to a world without her in it.   Our memories will be the bridge between our worlds.  sleep well you are loved, pat

She was wise, she was kind and she was of noble character. A warm gentile soul who was accepting of all her children and those whose lives she touched. We are all better for having shared a smile, a laugh and good times with her whenever she was near. Mom will always be in our hearts.

I had the pleasure of taking a trip to Reno with Lizzie and the girls.  What a BLAST!.  That is when I learned where Lizzie got her free spirit and funny sense of humor from,  I am sure she is rejoicing in Heaven.  God bless you all and I hope you have peace and comfort knowing that she is with our Lord.

Dear Liz and Rich, Our MoM’s are so ingrained in our lives and hearts so we feel your loss. I hope your heart will rejoice in all your memories you shared and knowing she is now at peace and rest. Your MoM was ahead of her time and was so welcoming when I would see her time to time. Sending hugs and love to you and the family.

most people would know Gennette Beardsley as  Roxi’s Mom from school, or simply “ Mom words of advise were given freely to help us manuver life’s roller coaster. As a teenager,  these bitter sweet morsels were highly valued.
Mom ( Gennette ) i cant think of a time when Mom wasnt there for anyone.  Mom always cared & protected  us at Paden, followed to Chipman school.  Field trips, after school, get togethers, she was always there when my parents couldnt be.  Never have i met another, like her.  never have i seen a cruel or unkind bone in her, to anyone.   Her hearts so big, if you knew her, you’d know what i meant.
She’d watch us playing at recess, everyday you could count on her.
One day along time ago, me & my cousin were at odds, i thought my grandparents were mad at me, for not being gracious to visiting family,
I ran next door to the Beardsleys.
I dont know how i got up in Roxi’s closet, but i would have lived there forever. scared didnt cut it.
Mom talked me out.  Her voice was always so calming for me & knew what to say to us kids. No matter how dire, weird, embarrassing, definitely not for parents ears! But could always hear a sensable way out of all the messes us kids could get into.  We could always come to her with issues & questions, & she would really listen to us.  No matter how old we were, she gave us sound advise, even the boys came to her.  Sorta like a Dear Abby, but more like a “Dear Mom with a hug” Very open.  Never discriminated.  If we were wrong, she had a nice way getting it across to us.
Always there with a hug, love, & ear.  She knew our boyfriends, crushes, all the circles n clicks within children.  & didnt take sides.
I learned so much from her.  The birds n bees, proper etiquette,
So much more.
I will miss Genette Marianne Beardsley very much, her words of wisdom, her advice, her laugh, her smile, her honesty, & all the hugs she has provided me through out the years.  Rest in peace, Mom.
Gene, Liz & Roxi thank you for sharing your Mom with me.  My deepest sympathies to you & your families.
Chrissy
