You went way too soon, you helped many people in your life including myself.rest in Peace my friend and keep  surfing no wet suit needed. I will take care of all I can for your family.until we meet again adios my friend.

I grew up with Gary in Palo Alto,In the late 1960's we were roommates with Phil Jones and Charles Wright in San Francisco,Gary was a bright,funny.very giving person.My heart goes out to his family,including his sister Jeanne. I will never forget Gary Shoemaker.

Gary, you made such a difference in the life of many students and staff while working with us at Merrill College.Thank you for all your hard work and contributions. Although gone too soon, our only consolation is that you are now home with our Father, and I pray that He sends blessings and strength to your loving wife, daughters, sister, and other family members.  

I went to check Gary's address for a holiday card and found his obit instead.
I'm one of the hundreds (thousands) of people he helped during his long career. He was a lovely man, gentle and kind and funny. I owe him. My sincere condolences to his family.
