Dear Hoefler Family, My heart aches with you in losing Gail much too soon. I can only hope her joyful spirit, her kind soul and loving energy were needed elsewhere as it will be sorely missed here. Grieve well and take excellent care of one another. With love  and respect for your loss, Liz Dahl

Am going to miss Gail's smile and that friendly pooch.

We were devastated to hear about Gail's passing.  She was always so joyful and kind!  She made us feel welcome when we were trying to adjust to being newbies in Alaska. She is one of those people whose life made the world a better place.

We were friends for 40+ years, Gail was amazing. We met as co-teaching assistants in college. We shared our first post-college apartment outside of Boston with her sister, Jeannie. Brian and Gail took me on my one and only camping trip. Only Gail would cook fresh sourdough blueberry pancakes, lobster and swordfish over a campfire. May we all cherish the memories of her. Hugs to all.

Brian, I am so grateful that you told me of Gail's passing. This was such a shock. Gail and I met in July 1984, both lost outside of a huge gov't building on the first day of our new jobs together. Gail was unlike anyone I'd ever met and, she became a mentor and role model to me in all of the ways which matter in life. I was lucky to have been her friend, and she was a true blessing
