So sad. One of the all-time nice guys and a great broadcaster. Used to watch him on TV8 and then got to know him once he got into metro Richmond radio. Again, Floyd Henderson was one of the all-time nice guys and a great broadcaster.
I connected with Floyd a number times when he ran his many contests on WRVA. You couldn't imagine a nicer guy; his disposition was of the friendliest, Floyd, we're going to CONTINUE to miss you!
Thoughts and prayers go out to the Henderson Family. I grew up with the family on the same block and have many memories of the family and Floyd. God bless all of you.
Working with Floyd was a highlight in my on-air career. Radio had lost much of its spark by the time I got in the game. Reporting (& interacting) on Floyd's WTVR & WLEE shows made it feel like I at least got a taste of radios' potential. I send my sincerest condolences to Dottie & the others who love him. I will remember Floyd as a force of nature, clad in white bucks. XO, Jenny Jusell

I'm so sorry to hear of this tremendous loss. Much love to you, the family and all who knew and loved him as he was a loveable person with an infection smile! It was great to see and talk to him again ad the wedding last year. You all are in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Michelle Collins & Family
To family and friends,
Sorry to hear of your loss. When we lose a loved one there is always a void. May you be comforted by the God of all comfort and tender mercies (2 Corinthians 1:3,4). Also, take comfort in Jesus' promise of a resurrection (John 5:28, 29). Visit online site at jw.org for more comforting information.
I grew up listening to Floyd on WTVR 1380 AM when he did the Big Band morning show there. That music shaped my life and is why I am a Big Band Leader today. I will forever remember the days of walking to school with my pocket radio as I listened to Floyd read off trivia, Big Band facts, and more. His show is one of my fondest childhood memories. He will be missed.
