A good friend, a great colleague, a wonderful sharer of music. Elliot burned at least 2 dozen cds for me, some Dylan, some artists I didn’t know before - Rodriguez! -and graciously made several copies of my favorite so I could share. A true labor heart and kind and strong human being. Rest in deep peace. My heart goes out to your family. You loved them so much.

Elliot was an extraordinary man, an accomplished  union organizer, and a great friend.  During the 20 years I knew him I also saw that his number one concern, even more than music and politics, was his family   He loved you all so much   And it was always the biggest topic of our regular breakfast meetings    May his memory be a blessing  

I was a college student working Salem in 1980 as a bartender. My bar boss Whitney Jackson was also Elliotts boss at Council 93. Whitney suggested I contact Elliott.  Elliott was kind enough to invite me to travel around the North Shore with him to various union meetings including negotiations, ratifications and an arbitration.
