We knew Duane mainly through our son and daughter-n-law, who lived next door to him. He often greeted us with food, for us to take home, as he made his rounds to friends and neighbors alike. We enjoyed talking to him about WWII and the Old Days. He ingratiated himself into our family to become our grandchildren's 'Grandpa Duane' and was with us the day they were born. We will miss him!
You would have been so proud of the beautiful service your daughter planned for you today. I was honored to be a part of it and to be a part of your life. I miss you so much already my dear friend. But I know you are with our heavenly Father and that I will see you again soon in paradise. Until that day, you will live here, in my heart papa. I love you.
Thank you to everyone who attended and participated in services this weekend. It was amazing to see such a tremendous show of support and love. Reception photos are available on Dropbox (link below) to view & download. We miss him deeply but take pride and pleasure in knowing how positively he impacted others. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/1xv4dvjnjtqf1ge/AAAzVnylEErd0ICvZZEyMBsca?dl=0
