Denise was always such a pleasure to meet and be with. A real loving heart and open mind. She is the love of Drew's life. She has touched my life and so many more that she will be remembered by all who ever met her.

I met Denise in 2006 when she attended the VA Natural Resources Leadership Institute. I loved her spirit. Yes, she was a source of light and grace, and a gifted facilitator as well. She touched so many lives through her work, she has left a long legacy. My heart goes out to all of her family. Yes, I will most definitely remember her spirit of love, social justice, humor and beauty!  

Denise and I worked together at DHCD for many years.  What a great co-worker and friend.  May your memories give you peace and comfort!

I worked with Denise on many projects in Southwest Virginia.  She understood our unique problems and was always helpful and understanding.  I'm so sorry for your loss.  She will be greatly missed.
