Dean fully participated in the Taiko Drumming Classes forPeople with Parkinsons
before Covid 19 closed the in person classes. He was featured in the March 2020 Article about Taiko for appearing in the SC Sentinel and he said
“This is very good for your mind and your body, just things that you don’t use to your full extent anymore.
Rather than being debilitating, it’s more like stabilizing. And the fact that we can, all of us can play
together... ”. We will miss Dean whose determination inspired us.
Dean and I went to New Trier High School together and he was a very unique individual with ideas of his own. His energy and enthusiasm were catching, and he was never boring to be with. Attractive and tall, he sure stood out in a crowd, and I was glad to know him.
Dean, I'm sorry that you've gone, but I'm sure we'll meet again in the wild blue yonder.
