Judge Kerman was an extraordinary jurist and lawyer.  Those of us who had the privilege of knowing him as a lawyer and as a judge became better lawyers for having litigated against him and then in his courtroom. He was a gentleman and a compassionate man.  

Judge Kerman was a decent, kind, brilliant and honorable man.  He always treated everyone with respect and dignity and listened to everyone before him.  He gave everyone a fair shot and he made his decisions based on the law and the facts, while also considering the human factor in his decisions.  He was everything a Judge should be.  Best Judge.  Funny and brilliant and missed so much.
