She loved driving.   I remember on one of many trips up the Al-Can, my cousin Rick Bailey was teasing her and said "Aunt Connie drives just like A.J. Foyt!"

She would call me at work and surprise me with "would you like to meet me for lunch?" (totally skipping the part about her loading the motor home in Anchorage and driving to Seward to do some fishing for a couple days before she drove to Kenai for our lunch date).

That was a beautiful obituary statement. She was a woman with many interests and that fascinated me about her. I loved how she carried herself like such a classy and dignified person but loved fishing and digging in the dirt. She was definitely a woman worth knowing and loving. ????

I didn't have the privilege of knowing Connie as well as I could have. But I will always be grateful to her, for  my sister and brothers.
I have heard many wonderful memories of her from my father and my sister. RIP Connie. You are finally at peace.

Connie has always been my go to at Marie's. She and I would visit little by little over the years we found out a little about each others life. She was sweet, caring, attentive and kind in thought, word and deed. I will miss her very much.
