Clay was an occasional massage client and a good man. It gave me great pleasure to give him a massage and get to know him a bit. I'm sorry he couldn't stay longer with Kathy.
I remember his half-missing pinky, and he'd hold up his hand and go, "Gimme four and a half!" He also taught me every single country in Europe when I had failed even the state capitals in grade school. He was a great man, and one of my most memorable teachers.
He was wonderfully funny, kind and generous, and loved his family. So much love to Kathy and Jen.

Mr. Johnson was my history teacher at East Union High in Manteca. He made learning fun. Its because of him that I absolutely love history. I graduated in 1989 and never forgot him. I also knew Mrs. Johnson as well. My heart and prayers go out to her and Jennifer and the whole family. My heart is saddened because this good man now has gone home. RIP MR. JOHNSON. Gone but never forgotten.
We worked together at EU and every time were came in contact he had a smile and positive attitude and those students with whom he came in contact reflected his demeanor. Lucky to have known him. Vaya Con Dios, mi amigo.
Harry and I enjoyed dancing at Severino's with Kathy & Clay. He was very social and enjoyed being with the group. We send our love to Kathy and family.
Too many memories to cover. Clay always came up with something to do on a dull winter Sunday afternoon in Santa Cruz (early 60's). Once a group of us grabbed old blankets and tried to sleep overnight on the rocks off West Cliff Drive. I think we gave up before 2:00 a.m. Clayton was my mentor in DeMolay, rising to Master Counselor ahead of me.
Memories of Clay and Kathy date back to high school as I was in the Future Teachers Club with them. Clay was the only male so we called him our mascot which he took with his usual good humor. Our Can-Can booth at the carnival found cheerful Clay with his legs stuck through two holes with garters on them as students paid to try to throw a hoop over a moving ankle attached to a hairy leg.
Clay is one of the 3-Amigo-Cousins: Jimmie, Clayton, and Clinton.
They should have had some type of Super-Triple-Cousin-Name like: Clayclinjim or Tontonmie. Heaven will never be the same. God bless them all!
