Rest peacefully my friend. Your untimely passing has left a gaping hole in our UMass family.I hope the love from all your old friends brings some comfort to your family. Miss you Chris
Chris, you were a real friend when I really needed a friend. As an older former military officer I struggled to fit in when I met you at Gibson Dunn. You took me under your wing. We talked almost every day for years when we worked there. The times we were able to get back together to catch up the joyfulness of your spirit always lifted mine. I will never forget you old friend.
As a fellow banking law practitioner, Fed Legal Division alumnus and Georgetown law professor, I give my sincerest condolences to Chris's family, who should know that he was a real credit to his profession and the groups of which he was a member. He was always friendly and knowledgeable and will be missed. RIP Chris.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Lily and her family. You were a great friend for 37 years Chris. We shared many laughs and a few beers along the way. I will miss you Bellini. Rest In Peace.
Dear Lily and Family:
My thoughts and prayers are with you, Chris, and the family. Chris is a Great Husband. Great Father. Great Friend. A true intellectual with the rare ability to share a beer (or two.....) with the common man. We will always share the joy & ignominy of the '86 Red Sox. I love you my Friend. Until we meet again. RIP....Matt Smith
I knew Chris as an alumnus of the Federal Reserve Board's Legal Division and colleague in the bank regulatory world. He was an outstanding lawyer who made significant contributions to our profession. He was a wonderful person who will be remembered for his great legal skills and congeniality. Melanie Fein
