I was fortunate to have worked with Chuck at City Hall. He was wonderful- smart, witty, able to deal with any craziness that came his way.
My heart goes out to his family at this difficult time.

I knew Chuck for a short time - we were board members together at MHIC - in a long life well lived.  I knew him to be kind and thoughtful in everything he did and said, and will miss him greatly.  He inspires us, even after he is gone.  My thoughts and sympathies are with each of you at this incredibly difficult time.  - Matt Murphy

So sorry to hear the news of Chuck's passing.  I knew Chuck best from his work for Mayor Menino leading the city's neigborhood development agency..  He was kind and gracious & dedicated to improving the lives of low and moderate income people. I remember him helping a down on his luck mutual acquaintanc to find a place to live, driving him to my office in his convertible.

I knew Chuck since the late 80's.  He was a very effective negotiator, sincere, fair, realistic and with a clear objective. He earned every respect that he got in this world. I am proud to have him as a friend. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.  Sincerely, Paul K. Chan

My prayers are with Charles’ family and friends.  I went to Norwell schools with Charles and have fond memories of classes and school events with him until he left to go to private school.  He was Charlie to us and was, by far, the smartest student in our class and kind and humble.  May he rest peacefully and may his family find comfort in all their happy memories.
