Many, many BIG (((hugs))) Lanette, Terra, Leslie and all. Charlie was definitely one of a kind and a wonderful neighbor. He was well loved-though stubborn to a fault-and he was incredibly generous in his own spectacular way. It was always abundantly apparent to me that you all were the loves of his life. Mr. Vandergaw was my eighth grade science teacher at Wendler Jr. High, for the 1965-1966 school year.  He was a fun and interesting teacher.  I can see from his obituary that he had a very remarkable and accomplished life.  My sympathy goes out to his family, friends, and neighbors.  I have made a contribution to the Michael J. Fox Foundation in memory of Mr. Vandergaw.
