Mom was many things to a lot of people over the years. A wife, a mother and even a second mom to her kids friends etc... but for me she was everything. She was my mom, a friend, a counselor and my biggest cheerleader. She made me strong, independent and always made me feel special. Mom made me believe I could do anything I put my mind too. She taught me how to love selflessly and how to be kind. My mother was a warrior and was the strongest lady I’ve ever known. She was dealt a terrible hand on several occasions in life but somehow always managed to smile and look on the bright side. Mom was always the glass is half full, not empty kind of gal. She was super creative and could make or fix anything when it came to sewing. S he loved us kids and her grandkids fiercely and would do anything to see us smile. She would give you her shirt off her back if it made you happy because in the end, your happiness was her happiness. It brought her joy to do kind things for people. She could talk to anyone and make you feel comfortable right away. It was her gift....even though it drove me crazy when I was a kid. Lol. She was not perfect by any means. She made some mistakes along the way but who hasn’t. She was human and life or raising kids doesn’t come with a manual. My Mother was the kindest, sweetest most gentlest soul you could ever meet and I will miss her terribly. I will miss our talks and her hugs. I will miss her period. I love you mama. Forever and always. Rest easy now. Thankfully there is no more pain. Just peace.
